Hilandero Blades is a disabled Veteran-owned small business located in Yuma, Arizona.

In 2017, Yuma had one spinnerbait manufacturer and that company stopped making blades in late 2017. When that happened the discussion that came to the forefront at a local tackle shop was: where are we going to get our blades at now? The only other options was either from online stores or at one of the big chain stores.

 

Early 2018, research was begun into a different kind of spinnerbait with the notion of creating a kind of spinnerbait that was unlike any of the national brands. The one question that was asked and the one predominant answer was a blade that could withstand being fished in and around heavier cover. 

 

Extensive market studies of national brand spinnerbaits had shown that nearly all of them had similar head styles, lighter gauge wire, and smaller blades. From that Hilandero Blades was born. In 2019, Hilandero Blades became the new spinnerbait maker in Yuma.
